We have two levels of assurance on our products:
- ‘Suitable for hybrids’
- ‘Delivers against Castrol’s HYSPEC standard’
If you see hybrid in the fuel type section on a product…
It means the oil performs in hybrids and can be used in a hybrid vehicle where the manufacturer specifies the viscosity and specification shown on pack.
If you see the HYSPEC logo on a product*
It shows our oils deliver against Castrol’s HYSPEC standard**, a benchmark for measuring the performance of our hybrid engine oils across the three critical areas of contaminants, engine intermittency and system efficiency.
