DIESEL ENGINES

Castrol Elixion is a high performance CJ-4h multigrade oil, suitable for Caterpillar units in low ambient temperatures (Arctic). Engineered to improve the fuel economy of equipment it helps engines stay in peak condition, fully protected even at extended oil drain intervals and under extreme operating conditions.

Castrol Tection Global 15W-40 is mineral based multigrade engine oil meeting API CI-4 specification. Its versatile formulation protects against wear and deposits, reducing maintenance costs and preventing unscheduled downtime. Widely used in turbo-charged and naturally aspirated diesel engines of European (Euro 4 and Euro 3), US and Japanese technology vehicles, Castrol Tection Global 15W-40 is approved by OEMs for use at extended drain intervals.

Diesel engine oil Castrol Tection Monograde is available in SAE 10W, SAE 20W, SAE 30 and SAE 40 viscosities. It is a standard monograde diesel engine oil range meeting API CF specification.

This high performance diesel engine oil is specially formulated for use in Detroit Diesel two-stroke engines, operating with diesel fuels up to 0.5% maximum sulfur. Castrol Tection DD Monograde 40 has a low ash formulation developed to protect Detroit Diesel two-stroke diesel engines.

This Zinc and Chlorine free monograde engine crankcase lubricant is designed to lubricate diesel propulsion, diesel electric and stationary power generation installations, where a zinc free lubricant is specified. Formulated to meet the requirements of engines manufactured by General Motors Electromotive Division (GM-EMD), General Electric (GE) and ALCO, it is suitable for all engines fitted with silver bearings, particularly those used in Marine and Offshore power generation sets.

Castrol Enduron MT is an SAE 10W-40 semi-synthetic diesel engine lubricant which is particularly recommended for MTU diesel engines where “Type 3” approval is required. It is also recommended for other high-speed marine engines such as MAN where ACEA E4 performance is required and/or extreme conditions require cold-start ability.

Castrol HLX is formulated for use in very highly rated high speed marine and power generation diesel engines that use distillate fuel with sulfur from zero up to 1%. Particularly suitable for high power density applications such as fast ferries, Castrol HLX meets performance requirements of marine monograde lubricant specifications. It extends drain periods to deliver performance normally associated with synthetic oils. Castrol HLX is available in both SAE 30 and 40 viscosity grades.

Castrol MHP Range is a high performance lubricant formulated using high quality base oils and additives. Available in both SAE 30 and 40 viscosity grades it is specifically developed for use in modern highly rated marine and power generation four-stroke engines operating on distillate fuels. MHP’s high load carrying capabilities and excellent gear performance means it can be used as a common oil for engine and transmission systems. MHP exceeds the specifications of API CF and is approved by major marine engine makers worldwide.
