GREASE FOR OFFSHORE APPLICATIONS

Castrol Spheerol SY1002 is a lithium complex No.2 thickened lubricating grease based on synthetic base oil. The grease contains antioxidants, corrosion inhibitors and Extreme Pressure / Anti Wear additives. The grease is suitable for various types of bearing applications, including electric motors, exposed to high and low temperatures. The complex soap structure gives the products a high degree of mechanical stability and high load carrying capability.

Castrol Tribol 4747 high-temperature synthetic grease contains lithium complex thickener, corrosion inhibitors and antioxidants. It helps extend the life of rolling and sliding bearings in heavy-duty applications and at elevated temperatures. Its high base oil viscosity provides a heavier oil film for slower speeds, higher loads and/or higher temperatures applications and protects against friction and wear.

Castrol Molub-Alloy 860 ES greases are high-performance multi-service lithium complex greases formulated from premium petroleum base oils, lubricating solids and a combination of corrosion inhibitors specifically chosen for protection against corrosive process waters. They help extend the service life of bearings in heavy-duty applications at elevated temperatures sustained for long periods.

Castrol Molub-Alloy 936 SF Heavy Open Gear Grease is a solvent-free lubricant developed specifically for heavily loaded open gears and jacking racks on all types of offshore and onshore heavy duty equipment. It is engineered to protect mobile and fixed equipment and reduce potential pollution to the marine environment. The tough lubricating film it forms on friction surfaces resists pressure and shock loads and unfavorable ambient conditions.

Castrol Molub-Alloy 6040/460-1 1/2 is calcium complex highly water resistant multi-purpose EP grease. It suits applications with frequent start-up, slow speeds or where high or unexpected loads take place and works well as a curved tooth couplings grease for offshore applications transmitting high horse power.

Castrol Molub-Alloy 777-2ES multi-purpose greases are designed for very heavy duty service at slow speeds in difficult environments. They have excellent adhesive and cohesive characteristics and resist mechanical shearing. Offshore applications include FPSO turret bearings (Bucyrus approved), ball and roller bearings, bushings, slides, screws.

Castrol Tribol 3020/1000 lithium greases with TGOA are designed for heavy duty service in adverse environments, like those found in primary metals processing and cement, construction, and mining industries. Offshore applications include curved tooth couplings on thruster packages, and can be used in non-oil tight gearboxes and heavily loaded rolling and sliding bearings.

Castrol BioTac OG is an OSPAR compliant open gear grease with no substitutable components. Highly resistant to water wash-off, it provides excellent corrosion protection. Offshore it is used in in rack and pinion gearing on the legs of jack-up drilling rigs where high load carrying performance of the grease helps reduce wear on pinion teeth and guides.

High Temperature No.2 Lithium complex high performance multi-purpose grease suitable for use across a wide range of operating temperatures, extreme pressure and a variety of speeds. Its uses include general plain and rolling bearings, slides and bushes in onshore and offshore installations where pressures and temperatures may be extreme.

These lithium-based greases incorporate solvent-refined base oils. Both greases are water resistant and contain oxidation and corrosion inhibitors that offer a high level of protection for metal surfaces. They are intended for use in plain and roller bearings of all types, in all kinds of machinery under normal load conditions. Spheerol AP3 is also suitable as electric motor grease.

This multi-purpose lithium base grease offers high stability, long life, excellent resistance to changes in consistency and good water-proof quality. Used in plain and rolling element bearings subjected to heavy loads and excessive vibrations, at low and medium speeds, the solid lubricant in Spheerol LMM grease makes it suitable for lubricating reciprocating and sliding motion elements, chains, swivels and shackles and flexible joints.

Spheerol EPL00 is a lithium base general purpose extreme pressure grease. It is a NLGI 00 semi-fluid grease suitable for centralized lubrication systems and grease filled gearboxes.
