Castrol is pleased to announce its first co-branded sustainability program with Volvo Cars in the United States.
The collaboration aims to ensure that all used oil and automotive fluids from Volvo’s retailer network are collected and recycled, working together towards a more sustainable future.
Volvo Car Group and Castrol have co-engineered lubricants for over 19 years, through a global partnership which covers engine oils, gear oils and greases in all new vehicles in Volvo’s global manufacturing facilities and the supply of lubricants to Volvo dealers across the globe.
“The biggest difference Castrol can make is by working together with our customers and partners to help support their sustainability goals,” explains Rayne Pacek, Vice President Marketing Castrol, Americas. “This program is an example of Castrol’s PATH360 strategy in action, embracing circular economy thinking to understand our customers and partners and how Castrol’s products can be improved, extended, re-used or recycled to reduce their lifecycle carbon emissions.”
Last year Castrol launched its PATH360 sustainability strategy which sets out its aims for 2030 to reduce waste, reduce carbon and improve lives. Now, Volvo Car Group and Castrol are collaborating to contribute to circularity and help advance sustainability.
