Greases
Greases are preferable in cases where oils cannot be used because grease stays in place, forming a 'protective shield'. There are many different technologies available for use under different circumstances. Often heavy duty engines (off road vehicles) can be subject to a challenging environment such as a heavy load, dirt and water where critical parts can only be protected by a grease layer.

Castrol Spheerol LMM
REPLACES LMM
Heavy duty grease combining molybdenum disulphide with extreme pressure additives.
For use where shock load protection is required for automotive ball joints and constant velocity joints.

Castrol Premium Heavy Duty
A high temperature multipurpose lithium complex grease designed for plain and roller bearing applications.
Application
Suitable for use in wheel bearings of vehicles operating at high speeds over long distances, or where prolonged heavy braking is likely to give higher than normal hub temperatures.

Protector Series
Castrol SBX Grease
Castrol SBX 2 Grease is a smooth black lithium complex grease of a No. 2 consistency containing molybdenum disulphide and graphite solids. Castrol SBX 2 Grease is a unique blend of extreme pressure additives, solid lubricants and an effective corrosion inhibitor in a heavy viscosity synthetically modified base oil. Castrol SBX 2 Grease has a drop point (min) of 250oC and has a load carrying capacity exceeding 800kg under 4-Ball weld load tests.

Spheerol HTB
Non-melting bentone clay based grease suitable for very high temperature applications up to 200°C.
Ideal for front wheel bearings in cars with disc brakes operating at very high temperatures.

Ultratak
Multipurpose lithium complex grease which has special properties in wet environments. Primarily suited for earthmoving bucket pins, ball, roller and plain bearings under high load.

Spheerol EPL range

Agri grease ultra
Castrol Agri Grease Ultra is a high performance grease developed for use in a wide range of farm and associated machinery applications. This includes cars, trucks, 4WD’s, pumps etc.
Castrol Agri Grease Ultra has been proven in the field as a performer in severe duty applications.
The formulation has been engineered to provide protection of ball and roller bearings, especially onland/on-road, high load applications. It is also suitable for general chassis greasing, ball joints, C.V. joints and other plain bearing lubrication.

Mine Grease
Castrol Mine Grease is an extreme pressure lithium grease formulated with specially selected base oil combinations that provide optimal pumpability.
Castrol Mine Grease also contains 3% molybdenum disulphide, which provides additional wear protection under conditions of vibratory motion.

BTX Grease

Castrol Spheerol AP3
A rubber compatible grease formulated to be compatible with natural rubber components in a range of cars, light commercial vehicles and any other vehicle using rubber components, particularly brakes and clutch hydraulic mechanisms
Applications
Specifically formulated for rubber to rubber lubrication where any effects such as hardening or swelling of the rubber must be avoided. It therefore can be used on automotive hydraulic brake and clutch components where compatibility with natural rubber and SBR seals are involved. It may also be used to assist the assembly of natural and synthetic rubber components for automotive brakes or clutch systems and suspension units.
