Brakes are essential for any car as it is not possible to stop without them. Choosing the right brake fluid for your car’s requirements and changing it on time is critical to safety. Castrol’s brake fluid range includes products for high performance cars, driving under demanding conditions, to products with increased safety margin.
Brake fluid is one of your car's most essential components. It has to resist the moisture that can cause vapor lock brake failure, protect against corrosion, and withstand high brake temperatures.

Castrol brake fluid DOT 4
Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is a synthetic brake fluid comprising of glycols and borate esters to achieve a higher boiling point and wet boiling point.
Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 is fully compatible with other fluids meeting FMVSS116 DOT 3 and DOT 4 however, in order to maintain the superior performance characteristics of Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 4, avoid mixing with other brake fluids products.
**All conventional brake fluids deteriorate during use. It is strongly recommended thatCastrol Brake Fluid DOT 4 should be changed according to the vehicle manufacturer’s advice. In the absence of such advice, a 2 year change period is recommended.
Advantages:
This product has been formulated from mixed polyalkylene glycol ethers and borateesters together with high performance additives and inhibitors which give ultimatesystem protection:
- Against the effects of corrosion.
- High boiling point temperature to reduce vapour lock.
- The formulation has been developed such that the vapour lock point can be sustained at a higher level than conventional glycol ether based fluids during the service life of the product.

Castrol brake fluid DOT 3
Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 3 is designed for use in the hydraulic brake and clutch systems of passenger cars and commercial vehicles with the exception of those systems for which a mineral oil based fluid is recommended.
