M-Sport Ford – World rally championship

Castrol's relationship with Ford and M-Sport in the World Rally Championship stretches back to 2003.

With a 13-round calendar that ranges from freezing temperatures in Sweden and high altitudes in Mexico to 140mph+ speeds in Finland, the uniquely challenging nature of the World Rally Championship provides the ultimate testing ground to develop and demonstrate the strength of Castrol EDGE.

Ford chip ganassi – WEC & IMSA

Ford is running two Ford GTs powered by Castrol EDGE SUPERCAR technology in both the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship (referred to as IMSA) until the end of 2019 (4 cars total).

Both teams run under the name ‘Ford Chip Ganassi Racing’. The two sets of two Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT cars run in two separate championships until all four cars are brought together at Le Mans 24 Hours, and other races where Ford require more than two cars to compete.

These cars are specifically engineered to extract maximum performance, serving as an important proving ground for top manufacturers in the industry and an important showcase for the superior performance of Castrol EDGE SUPERCAR.

Panasonic jaguar racing – Formula E

As Castrol looks to the future with their fluids, it is also looking to the future of motorsport with the recent announcement that Castrol will be partnering with Panasonic Jaguar Racing as it embarks on season six of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

With the Panasonic Jaguar Racing Formula E Team working closely with Castrol's engineers, e-fluids are put to the test on the track in order to help find breakthroughs for the electric vehicles of tomorrow. Using Castrol’s advanced e-fluids onboard the new Jaguar I-TYPE 4, this partnership builds on a long and successful motorsport partnership.
