Coolants
Coolants role in maintaining maximum engine performance is extremely important. The life of an engine, particularly high performance diesel engines, can be shortened or suffer damage, by not using the right coolant and not maintaining the correct levels in the cooling system.
Castrol coolant range includes the approved and latest technology products offering outstanding protection and longer engine life.
Castrol Radicool
Castrol Radicool is a concentrated engine coolant for use in both petrol and diesel engines withaluminium or cast iron engines.
This coolant can be mixed using 33% concentration with purified waterto give frost protection to -18°C, however it is recommended to use a 50% dilution to provideoptimum corrosion protection and freeze protection down to -36°C. At these concentrations thiscoolant will provides year round protection. To maintain optimum performance this product should be replaced after 1 year.
In the majority of cases, coolants are not compatible and should not be mixed with other coolantsunless directed by the equipment manufacturer. If using Castrol Radicool for the first time, ensure thatthe cooling system has been adequately flushed with clean water before use.
