WE’RE CHANGING HOW WE LOOK

Discover our new packaging and simplified product range.

In August 2023, Castrol will begin introducing different ‘small pack’ product bottles across its product portfolio in Europe. Our new 0.5L, 1L, 4L & 5L bottle shape has been purposely designed for logistical efficiency and product durability.


The new bottle designs will also carry new look labels for Castrol EDGE, Castrol MAGNATEC and Castrol GTX small pack products, as part of Castrol’s brand refresh announced earlier in 2023. Please visit The path forward | Home for more information.


The refreshed brand identity is being rolled out in stages across all of Castrol’s European operations in 2023 and into 2024, ultimately becoming visible on all of our product packaging, service partnership programmes, facilities, online and offline marketing, and global sponsorship assets.


With the small pack bottle and label changes, we are also making several changes within our car engine oil portfolio to simplify our product brand architecture. In changing the brand variant names of some of our products we are making the portfolio easier to navigate and manage. The formulations of these products remain the same.

 

These changes are summarised below:

  • Castrol MAGNATEC Stop-Start will transition to Castrol MAGNATEC
  • Castrol MAGNATEC Diesel will transition to Castrol MAGNATEC
  • Castrol EDGE Supercar will transition to Castrol EDGE
  • Castrol GTX Ultraclean will transition to Castrol GTX

For this reason, from August 2023, you will not find products with the earlier product names (table below) on the Castrol Europe websites. Product Data Sheets and information on the earlier products is still available via this link.
