Castrol TRANSMAX Axle EPX 85W-140 is a multipurpose axle oil which may be used in differentials, final drives and other applications in passenger cars and commercial vehicles where API GL-5 performance is required. It is approved by ZF for use in a range of commercial applications including axles in off-road and agricultural equipment.
Application
Recommended for use in differentials, gear boxes and steering gears of cars. Castrol TRANSMAX Axle EPX 85W-140 should be considered for use over the lighter Castrol TRANSMAX Axle EPX 80W-90 when ambient temperatures are high (in the vicinity of 30°C or above).

Castrol TRANSMAX Dynadrive Long Life 80W-90 is a part-synthetic SAE 80W-90 gear oil specifically developed to meet all the gear oil requirements for both manual transmissions and final drives. The unique additive system provides the extreme pressure protection needed in heavy-duty differentials, as well as the frictional properties required for smooth shifting synchromesh manual transmissions.
The excellent viscosity/temperature characteristics of Castrol TRANSMAX Dynadrive Long Life 80W-90 overcome gear change baulking at low temperatures, whilst the outstanding thermal stability of the semi-synthetic base oil minimises deposit formation and allows oil drain intervals to be extended when appropriate.

Castrol TRANSMAX Axle Long Life 75W-90, formulated with Smooth Drive Technology™ , is a full synthetic rear axle fluid. It provides superior protection, especially when driving under stop-start or extreme conditions e.g. towing. This enables smoother axle operation and noise reduction, resulting in a more comfortable drive throughout the lifetime of the vehicle.
Application
Specially designed and approved by BMW for use in all BMW final drives fitted with conventional (non limited slip) differentials. TRANSMAX AXLE LONG LIFE 75W-90 is Castrol's prime recommendation for final drives in heavy commercial vehicles, and is approved by MAN and ZF.

Castrol Transmax Offroad FD 60 is a monograde final drive lubricant recommended for use in Caterpillar final drives according to their FD-1 requirements.
NB: Not recommended for use in Caterpillar transmissions as it does not meet the frictional requirements.
