LOW VISCOSITY
Castrol ON Immersion Fluids have low viscosity, efficient heat transfer (compared to air cooling) and good pumpability.
PROVEN THERMAL PROPERTIES
Our range offers proven thermal properties across the operating temperature range. Castrol ON DC 15 and Castrol ON DC 20 are hydrocarbon-based formulations and comply with leading specifications (vs. OCP requirements).
STRONG ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS
These deliver excellent electrical insulation to protect against fluid breakdown and ignition. The fluids have a low dielectric constant and electrical conductivity, mitigating electrical safety risks during operations.
Good fluid stability
Formulated to provide high oxidation resistance to maintain performance over the fluid lifetime.
MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY
Our fluids are compatible with a range of elastomers, plastics and metals found in immersion-cooled data centres. Material compatibility tests are conducted at bp and in collaboration with specialised testing facilities. The high oxidation resistance maintains properties and performance of the fluid over its lifetime.
